Week & Day View
How to use the week and day views to build and manage shifts.
Week view
The week view shows your team's shifts as a grid — days across the top, time down the side. It gives you a full picture of the week in one glance and is the most common view for building a schedule.
Adding a shift
Click any empty slot in the grid to create a new shift. The shift drawer opens where you set:
- Start and end time
- Competency — the role or skill required for this shift
- Assignees — one or more team members from that competency
Save the shift and it appears in the grid.
Editing a shift
Click any existing shift to open it in the drawer. You can change the time, reassign it, or delete it.
Reading the grid
Each shift block shows the assigned person's name (or the number of people if multiple are assigned) and the competency colour. Unassigned shifts appear without a name.
Conflict indicators appear when a person is double-booked — hover to see which shifts overlap.
Day view
The day view shows a single day in full detail. Switch to it when a day is particularly busy or when you need to make precise time adjustments.
Use the ← → arrows to move between days without leaving the view.
Stacked view
The stacked view is an alternative layout for day and week schedules that arranges shifts vertically by person. Useful for teams with a high number of people and overlapping shifts.
